China expects to attract over 1 trillion yuan of foreign investment this year
China is anticipated to attract over one trillion yuan ($156.51 billion) of foreign investment this year, and in US dollar, foreign investment into China is probably going to exceed $160 billion for the year, said Zong Changqing, director-general of the department of foreign investment administration of the Ministry of Commerce on this Friday.
This weekend in a news conference Zong presented a recent survey conducted by the ministry among 3,000 key foreign enterprises that showed about 93.3 percent of them are optimistic about their future development in China.
Moreover, some reports that released by foreign chambers of commerce such as that of the #United_States, the #European Union, and Japan show that 59% of European enterprises, and 36.6 percent of Japanese enterprises, and almost two-thirds of US enterprises plan to expand their investment in China.
While commending the better-than-expected foreign investment situation since the beginning of the year, Zong said that China still faces severe challenges considering the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, reconstruction of global industrial supply chains, and non-financial factors including decoupling and barrier-setting.
